March 27, 2019
3:00-4:00

Room: 175 Donnelly Science Hall

Abstract:

We will discuss the process of designing the online MA151: Applied Calculus summer course. The technology and software (Moodle, Camtasia, YouTube, Explain Everything, Poll Everywhere, WeBWorK, and H5P.org) that have been used will be shown. We will also discuss how we modified the course after the first summer. We’ll talk about what issues these classes raise for the department overall, things we can all learn from them, and where the school is going with online classes.

This talk will be accessible to Juniors and Seniors.
