Participation: Please contribute to the classroom environment by asking questions and participating in discussions. Your interaction will be considered when assigning borderline grades, as will improving performance throughout the course of the semester.
Grading: 20% Problem Sets, 50% Exams, 30% Final
Problem Sets: There will be problem sets roughly every week due Thursday at 7pm. Most of the problems will be posted on WeBWorK. These sets will collectively be worth 20% of your total grade. Remember your initial login is your Loyola username and your password is your Loyola ID number.
Exams:Two exams and one final will be given during the semester. You may not use outside resources: calculators, other students, other books, etc. Each exam will constitute 25% of your total grade (50% total) and the final will constitute 30% of your total grade.
Exam 1: Thursday, Feb 22
Exam 2: Thursday, April 5
Final Exam: Tuesday, May 8
Note: I reserve the right to adapt exam dates.
Late policy:No work will be accepted late without prior arrangement or a written excuse. Neither exam or final may be made up without prior arrangement or a written excuse.
