Personal Info

I grew up in Dubuque, Iowa in a family of four girls. My parents stressed (successfully) the importance of education. I have a sister who is a pathologist, another who is a lawyer, and another who is a forensic chemist.

I attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City (GO HAWKEYES!) where I received a B.S. in mathematics. For several years I worked as a research assistant at the Clinical Trials Data Management Center (now called the Clinical Trials Statistical & Data Management Center) before I moved to Eugene, Oregon for graduate school at the University of Oregon (GO DUCKS!).
